Pumpernickel was about 10 steps away from being surrendered to a kill shelter when he met us. He went home with a Paw Placement foster family that day and he's been living the good life ever since! Pumpernickel is friendly and affectionate, smart and eager to please, energetic and playful. He's looking for an active family that has time to continue working on his training and his socialization to ensure he grows into a well balanced adult dog. Pumpernickel is crate resin trained in his foster home and is mastering his house training. He loves romping and playing with other dogs, and we'd very much prefer to place him on a home with a sturdy female playmate. He also enjoys chasing a ball, playing with unstuffies toys, and some quiet time chomping on nylabones and antlers. Pumpernickel is a lover, first and foremost, and he loves nothing more than cuddling with his humans Pumpernickel cannot be placed in a rental home or apartment due to rental breed restrictions.
