Maxine and her pup, Pauline, were strays on the streets of Phoenix for months. A very kind soul tracked them, fed them, earned their trust and, two months later, was able to capture both and bring them to safety. , Maxine is used to taking care of herself, but she adores her humans and loves to cuddle. Maxine is a bit slow to warm up to strangers, but she is basking in her new life as a house dog, enjoying soft blankets, access to fresh water, plenty of nutritious food to eat, vet care and, most especially, the love and affection of her foster family. Maxine would love to find a forever home with Pauline, but this is not a requirement. If the perfect home comes along for Maxine, we will happily place her with a loving forever family.
