Bear was surrendered to us when his owner moved and could not take him with her. Though heartbroken, she asked us to take this wonderful dog and find him a forever home that can give him all the exercise and love he needs. Bear is wonderful with children - he lived with a rotation of eight children, aged 6 months to 6 years - and would like a home with children to love and play with. Bear will make a great hiking or walking partner. He walks beautifully on a leash, and loves to trot alongside a bicycle, as well. Bear loves his crate, and likes to nap there or on a plush dog bed - he does not get on furniture. Although Bear has been wonderful with all dogs while in foster care, from a 3lb chihuahua to a 50lb pitbull - he especially loves to romp and play with the ladies! - he will not be placed in a home with another powerful male dog.
