Basset Hound Mix
Pocahontas was rescued from Ajo Animal Care & Control. We went to pick up five dogs. That's it! Five! As we loaded the canines into the car, one little doggy looked at us woefully from her space in the shelter. She sidled up to the gate of her kennel and softly whined. How could we not give her just one pet? Well, one pet led to a cuddle which then led to a walk and finally, into the car she went. What's one more precious pup, right?, Pocahontas will make a great family friend and canine companion. She is crate-trained and we are working on house-training. Pocahontas is a very unique looking little dog - she has the body of a basset hound but the coloring and head of a shepherd.
