Lab Mix

Desi was found roaming the streets of Prescott. He was taken to Yavapai County Humane Society where staff quickly fell in love with this laid-back fellow. He got along well with fellow canines, he did not bark his head off when his kennel mates were doing so, and all interactions with humans were affectionate and polite. He also knows "Sit", "Stay" and "Shake." In short, great dog!, When he was picked up, he was un-neutered. After a certain amount of days, no one came to claim Desi. So, the Humane Society had him neutered and put up for adoption. Shortly after his surgery, his owners came in looking for their dogs. When they discovered Desi had been neutered, they did not want him back., Yavapai County has many homeless animals but not a huge adopter-base. Alot of great dogs don't stand a chance of adoption. As the days went by, and Desi sat in his kennel, he began to get depressed. Staff members put out a call for help - Could ANY rescue in Phoenix take this great dog., YES! We said!! Happy to help. Paw Placement is seeking a loving home for Desi. He really is a great dog and will be a perfect companion for almost anyone. He likes cats, dogs and kids. He is playful and understands human expectation. He will make a great hiking buddy, family friend and all-around canine companion.
