Miracle got her name because her story is MIRACULOUS! , Miracle was the victim of terrible cruelty. Someone stabbed her, slicing her up the legs. Then, she was thrown into a canal to drown. Someone saw the struggling dog and asked a neighbor to help. One neighbor called another neighbor, until a whole community was working together to rescue the tortured and bleeding dog from drowning. One of the people helping volunteers with Paw Placement. Having pulled Miracle to safety, we took her to the vet where she went into surgery. We didnt know if she would live ... then we didnt know if she would lose her leg ... finally, we thought she would just lose one paw. But our vet, Dr. Pruitt at Four Peaks Animal Hospital performed a miracle, saving all limbs and only having to amputate a portion of Miracle's hind foot., Next, came the task of teaching Miracle that humans can be kind. Over the course of many months, Miracle now truly loves her foster mamas. When she is with a human she trusts, she walks well on the leash. , Understandably, Miracle is shy around strangers. For this reason, we do not recommend she go to a home with children. She will flourish in a quiet setting and bond very deeply with her humans. Any adopter must be prepared to be patient with her until she knows she can trust you. This process doesnt take long ... but even a hint of impatience makes Miracle very nervous., Miracle is a great dog and she is becoming more and more loving by the day. She will be a blessing to anyone who wants to have a Miracle in their lives every day. More about MiracleGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
