PAW PLACEMENT WILL ONLY CONSIDER ADOPTION APPLICATIONS FOR THESE LITTLE ONES TO HOMES THAT ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE SCOTTIE/TERRIER BREED(S)AND ARE COMMITTED TO LOVING THIS STRONG WILLED BUT LOYAL BREED, Maxwell is a dominant puppy but in a subtle way. He would very much like someone to cater to his every whim and he will need a family committed to not, letting him win all the time. Boyd is a very people-oriented puppy and will cry if left alone for too long. , Puppies require socialization and it is important that they are introduced to other dogs and new people regularly to "tone down" the territorialism that is strongly associated with this breed of dog. If the pup is constantly meeting new people and making new friends, he will learn that new is good and not a bark-able matter. Trips to the dog parks will be ideal for our little Maxwell and build his confidence level., Maxwell gets along well with the cats at his foster Mom's home but if his, new family has cats they will want to set limits on how much he is allowed to rough house with them from day one. , He is a very intelligent puppy and is quick to pick up commands but is just as quick to get bored with repetition. Maxwell is looking to join a family where there will be people home most of the time. He isn't too picky on who he follows around but he definitely enjoys being a little wheaten-coloured shadow. , He does well with other dogs both male and female and isn't afraid of dogs much bigger than he is. Maxwell should not go to a home with children who are too young to have impulse control. , Please be aware that Scottish Terriers are a stubborn breed. Puppies need work and patience with potty-training and on chewing issues. Despite their small stature Scorries are not lap dogs and do better in active family settings., If you are interested in meeting a Scottie puppy, please google the breed and read about its characteristics to see if the breed is right for your lifestyle., HOW DID A RESCUE GROUP GET PUREBRED PUPPIES? We rescued two Scottie females from a Puppy Mill situation. Both sisters went in for spays but it was discovered that Moira was VERY pregnant. So, voila, just a few weeks later, SCOTTIE PUPPIES!!
