Australian Shepherd mix

Mocha is a lovely girl with warm eyes and perky ears. She is friendly and seems eager to meet new people, greeting strangers with lots of tail wagging. It really seems like she is smiling. She is a great dog and would be excellent with a family (maybe with older kids so she gets lots of love and attention) or a single person or couple who could spend some time working with her and just giving her lots of attention. She's very intelligent, but still full of puppy energy and needs some obedience training, mostly regarding chewing behavior. She loves to cuddle with her people at night (likes to sleep in bed and gets up on sofas so if that's not acceptable to her new people, that would have to be addressed too), Since she is still a puppy, she really wants someone to play with her. However, she is well-manner for a puppy and is housetrained and plays well with other dogs. She adapts to a routine easily. She's not big on cats. She'll sit for treats and walks well on a leash. If she pulls, just a quick pull back with a "heel" and she corrects right away. Mocha was rescued by a loving family who was unable to keep her without totally disrupting their cat household. They could only keep her for a month, but completely fell in love with her during her short stay. They want her future family to know how very lucky they are to have such a great girl to love. This sweetie deserves a really great home and lots of love.
