Black Lab & Great Dane mix

Licorice is a long-legged beauty who is sweet and fun-loving. She is too thin from having been homeless and is recovering from surgery from an injured knee. However, she seems to be recovering rapidly and has settled right into her foster home. She gets along well with the household's Husky, because she lets him be the boss. She mostly ignores the six cats in the home, but ocasionally chases one down the hall if he runs from her. She loves walking, playing ball, and chasing squirrels, despite the injury to her knee. She is busy during the day and sleeps well through the night. Licorice enjoys eating pretty much anything she is given. She doesn't bark much but when she does you know to check it out; there's very little inappropriate barking. She was already house-trained and has never had an accident in her foster home. She also seems to have been trained to stay off of the furniture. Although she could easily jump the fence in her foster's yard, she never has. Licorice is a well-behaved dog with the playfulness of youth, but with better manners than you'd expect from a young dog. This life-loving, affectionate girl will make someone a wonderful companion. She has so much to give and deserves a loving family.
