Nugget is a girl you fall in love with as soon as you hold her in your arms. She has big brown eyes and perky ears that listen to all that is going on around her. This curious pup seems to be smiling. Nugget joined Pawplacement on March 24rth able to hop along on three legs as she had a broken leg! No worries though as she is now using all four legs thanks to a surgery on March 26th to place pins in her leg. Nugget has to be the sweetest little girl ever and earned the nickname "Precious" in her foster home. She loves to be held and will snuggle in right next to you at night. During the day she loves to play with her little foster brothers. At only 12 pounds she is a bundle of love and energy and just finds that life must be lived at a dead on run! She is currently kenneled during the day as she needs some quiet time to help her leg heal. She will have her stitches removed on April 9th and then in 8 to 12 weeks will have the pins removed from her leg. Nugget appears to be quite the well adjusted little girl as she just goes with the flow and you would never know that her leg was a healing fracture as she just does not slow down! Although she loves to play with other dogs she can also be a bit protective of her people time so would need to either be placed with a non dominant dog or could be placed as an only dog with someone who was committed to making sure that she had trips to a doggy park or play dates with other dogs. Although good with children should not be in a home with children who are small and could accidentally hurt her...one broken leg is enough! Nugget loves to play and would love an active family and one that would let her sleep on the bed at night...she adores being right next to her people when sleeping! Please be ready for the energy of a puppy as she is 100% full of energy and needs an active home of playmates as she is a little wiggler just full of energy. Please make sure you are ready to make the 15 plus year commitment she requires as being abandoned once in her life is more than enough for a little girl with a heart of gold.
