About Risha

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 1338
Risha is an adorable little pup. She was born in a foster home and has had great care her whole life. Her mom was only nine months old when a loving family rescued her from a humane dog trap on a high school campus. She was quickly given medical care and at the vets it was discovered she was carrying a litter of pups. The family that found her became the family to seven puppies born Superbowl Sunday. Risha is now looking for a forever homes like her mom and siblings found. Risha is like her mom will probably top out at about 40 pounds. She is the fearless little girl and is happy barking at the big 100 plus pound dogs in an effort to get them to play. She is a little thing but has quite the little personality. She also loves to be held and is fine around other dogs and children. She loves her rope toys and teething on carrots! Risha is a puppy and needs a family ready to commit to puppy care. She needs to be let out every three hours. Risha would benefit from puppy classes with you. Update on 4/18/06: Risha is now 11 pounds and has learned to go in and out the dog door! She is fine with the resident cats and LOVES romping with the neighborhood 11 and 12 year olds. The kids love playing with her as she is super fast and LOVES to chase them around! She is a petite little girl with a big fearless heart (unless the feat is jumping off the sofa!). She is fine with younger kids but can be a little fiesty when they try to carry her around. She will try her yipping when others pick her up but stops immediately with a firm no. She would probably love a family with kids or another dog to play with as she loves to wrestle and tumble with all the dogs!
