Queensland Heeler - Red Merle

Poor little Rocket was basically thrown away because his previous "family" had too many dogs. He sat in a cold kennel, waiting for a new home. Finally after two weeks in the kennel with strangers walking by with no interest, his immune system slowly went downhill and he became sick. Rocket was then scheduled to be euthanized the following day. Thankfully a worker at the pound wanted more for this adorable baby and called us. Fortunately, we have a lot great volunteers and were able to save Rocket and have him go directly into a foster home. Rocket has a sweet demeanor and is absolutely gorgeous. On his kennel listing it was noted that he's good with other dogs and kids. Because he is a herding breed, we are going to have to require that all children in the home are over the age of eight. We don't want his herding instincts to alarm a child. He absolutely requires daily exercise and loves to fetch a ball and bring it back. He would be happiest with another dog who has energy to play, especially if owner works away from home. , This wonderful boy is now waiting for his forever home.
