Marigold's previous owner walked her into the pound and attempted to relinquish her. A caring volunteer mentioned that if she were left that there was a good chance she could be euthanized if not adopted. The woman coldly replied that she did not care what happened to her dog. She told the staff that she wanted to get rid of the dog since she barked all the time. Not once did she make a peep while at the pound, and now that she is safe with us... we have yet to hear her bark. If she was barking it was probably because she was left outside with little to no attention. Marigold is such a sweet and loving girl. She loves to have her belly rubbed and play ball. Marigold has the most beautiful colorings and eyes. She will lavish you with sweet doggie kisses. She is a young gal and would thrive from obedience training since she is very smart. Because Marigold has a sweet demeanor, she is fine with dogs and children., UPDATE FROM HER FOSTER MOM: She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. We have taken her to the dogpark many times and she always has a blast running and playing with the other dogs. She is also wonderful with kids as we saw when she met kids from very young ages (toddlers) to teenagers. , Also, we cat tested her and she is totally fine with all of our cats. She likes to great them (tailwagging) and that's it. So, that can be added on her bio. She is also the best running partner I ever had and keeps pace with you at all times. In additon, Marigold has learned several commands. She can sit, come, she knows when to leave it and she knows stop before crossing a street. She learns so quickly - what a smart girl! She is one of the most affectionate dogs I have ever met. She loves to lean into you and looks at you in such a loving way that it just melts my heart. Marigold rides well in the carand likes to snuggle with you if possble. She certainly thinks she is a lapdog:-) More about MarigoldGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
