Beary has lived her entire life as a backyard dog with little to no attention. Her owners decided they no longer wanted to take care of her and were going to have her euthanized. When she came to us her paws were cracked open and she had a hard time walking. Her eyes showed nothing but saddness and hopelessness for her future. The volunteers were saddened by the emptiness within her eyes. Beary is now interacting with other dogs, even though she needs to be the only dog. She is happy now and full of life. Her paws are still healing, but most of all....she's happy. She is also good with non-dominant males.
