Have you ever been calmed by the dancing of the branches on a willow tree as a gentle breeze blows through? If you haven't, then you can get the same calming feeling when you are around our gentle little girl Willow. She is beautiful, sweet, and gentle. Willow was scheduled to be euthanized on November 19th, 2003 at Animal Care & Control. I walked the kennels reviewing the euthanasia list when I came to her kennel...#114. She made little eye contact and shook violently in the back of her kennel. I tried to coax her over with little success, so I moved on. Later that afternoon I could not get the picture of this little girl out of my head....so I made a phone call to spare her life for one more night. The next day I made it back to re-evalute her and I couldn't be happier with that decision! Willow is now in foster care with other dogs and is learning what it feels like to be loved. , Willow desperately wants to bond with someone. She follows her foster mom constantly and looks into her face, just hoping for a kind word or pat on the head. She has learned that she must wait her turn for attention along with the other dogs in the home, and will graciously do so, but she is the type of dog who may be better as an only dog - as she will bond very strongly with her forever person. Willow is very quiet, gentle and obedient. She is also doggie door and crate trained. Willow has obviously been treated harshly in the past and scares easily. She is afraid of brooms and hoses and often goes into a submissive posture. She should go into a quiet adult home where she can blossom. She must go to a home where the children are over the age of 13...no exceptions. Willow loves her walks and is excellent on a leash. This girl's picture doesn't come anywhere near doing her justice. She is absolutely beautiful!! More about WillowGood with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
